Studio Policy and Fees

Policy

1. Please call or text the teacher ASAP if you cannot make it to the lesson. It must be sent to the teacher 24 hours before the lesson. If the communication happens after 8 am on the day of the lesson, the full fee will be charged.

2. If students miss lessons continuously, at the teacher’s discretion the spot will be open to the other students.

3. There will be no lessons in the following periods. (It follows the schedule of the San Mateo-Foster City School District) However, lessons will be provided during these periods when students request to do so and if the teacher is available.

   1. Fall Break (around 9/30-10/8)

   2. Thanksgiving Holidays (around 11/18-11/26)

   3. Winter Break (around 12/16-1/3)

   4. Spring Break (around 3/30-4/7)

   5. Summer Break (around 6/1-8/10)

   6. All other national holidays

4. A two-week notice is required when you quit this piano studio.

Fee

• $55 for 30 min, $65 for 40 min lesson

• A travel fee of $10 per lesson will apply if the lesson takes place at the student's house. If the travel time exceeds 15 minutes of driving, the fee may increase.

• The textbook fee will be charged separately when the new book is provided.

• Trial lessons for new students will be a $5 discount from the regular lesson fee.

Payment

• The teacher will send the invoice for lessons next month (around the 25th). Please send the payment via either Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle before the first lesson of the month.

• The canceled lessons will be credited in the following month.
